Let Go

June 7, 2008 alymc

I admit it.  I’m having a trust issue.  Over a week into the summer and still no job.  No one wants to hire some one who will be moving away in 2 months.  If they do, they only want to give about 12 hours a week.  Soon I will have to pay rent among many other things and I have started to worry.  My worry and anxiety is a little road sign to my trust issue.

————————————

I watched August Rush last night (a very good movie in my opinion) and there is a quote from the movie that has stuck with me.  This man takes in Evan(the young boy who has run away from the orphanage) and when Evan is missing this man’s daughter asks him if he thinks anything bad happened to him.  To this the man replies “If his Father loves him like He should then He’ll do what’s best for His son”.  That is something that is so true that I have got to remember.

————————————

In addition to that, God has never let me down before.  He has always made provision in the place that He has lead.  His character does not change.  He is not any different now than He was then.  I think I need to spend more time with my Father and less time on my own.  It’s time to let go.

    Thank you, Mr. Webster.
    I needed to hear that.

Amen, my dear!! Let go and let GOD. ;-) I am ever learning that. It is great to surrender ALL to Him…make our heart His home so that He could fashion it as He desires and believe me, the sky is not even the limit to His majesty and wonders!!!! In addition, He gave me this treat among many others: Phil. 4:6-7. Our Lord is so very good and in fact, it blesses Him when we delight in Him. May we make more time just for Him…He deserves more! We have nothing to offer to Him but our very life…the filthy tents that He is continuously transforming into His image…we are His poiema!!!! I love your heart and praise God for leading you to write. Remember this, come what may, He is ever with you never letting go–so my dearest, do not let go of His hand–hold on tight because it is an awesome adventure as I’m sure you know. Let Him carry you even through the job search. I pray His hand and will over you today and always because Father does know best even when we do not understand His timing, etc.

    Love in Christ!

How great it is to be reminded that He is the same as He’s always been. Looking back on times of great spiritual growth in my life and wishing I could experience that kind of relationship with Him again it’s wonderful to realize that it’s me that has changed, not Him.
